We wanted to share a great book we have been reading every
night with our son, Jeremiah. (Mailey listens off and on, but it is really more
suited for older preschool age and up) “The Jesus Storybook Bible” is a
wonderful through-the-Bible storybook written specifically in story format to
be read cover to cover, one story at a time. We first learned of it from Pastor
Tim Chaddick from Reality LA. (You can listen to Tim’s podcast at
http://realityla.com/category/teachings/). He mentioned reading it with his kids, and he said he wished
that he could just read it from the pulpit it was so good! I agree:)
We have been so excited to see Jeremiah’s interest and
understanding of who God is, His plan for mankind and His “rescue mission” of
love grow as we have read it at bedtime with him. Plus, the illustrations are
super-cool.
If you are looking for a good Bible to read with your small
children, a present for a young family with small children, or just want a
fresh perspective on the story of God, we really highly recommend “The Jesus
Storybook Bible!” Where all the stories point to Jesus.
