God is still at work in REPOSSESS!

For the last several years, we have been really involved in Repossess, a movement of young people in Thurston County that has united over 20 churches at twice yearly gatherings to worship Jesus, serve our community, hear amazing speakers, and make a difference here and around the world. We have partnered with YWAM in Haiti to build homes, built a well in Africa, worked with Invisible Children ending child warriors in Uganda, and volunteered with 20+ organizations locally to serve our own community in Thurston County. And, God has done an AMAZING work as we have seen literally THOUSANDS of students come to Christ and respond to the good news of Jesus at the Repossess events. God is so good!

The next Repossess events are scheduled for Oct 2nd & 9th. This fall, there are going to be two separate nights—one specifically designed for junior high students on Oct 2nd at Washington middles school, and the second night for high school students on Oct 9th at Capital High School. You can check out the website at www.repossessme.com for all the details.

We had Pastor Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill Church in Seattle come and preach at Repossess last fall at the Evergreen State College. Mark just posted a video on the Mars Hill website promoting Repossess and encouraging people to invite others and attend this Repossess. You can click on this link http://marshill.com/media/special/repossess-2010  to hear his amazing message.

We also wanted to pass on some exciting new info about giving and Repossess. The Repossess board has received a grant this year that will match all donations to Repossess up to $40,000! The cost of hosting these events for FREE for all those who come is great, and I would like to encourage you to be praying that God will continue to provide as He has so that the Gospel can continue to go out and we can see the name of Jesus lifted up and lives changed! If you would like to donate, you can also do that by mailing a check out to Repossess to 1615 Chambers St SE, Olympia, WA 98501 attn. Shane Rogers. Remember that any donations made this year will be matched, so giving makes a HUGE difference!

We are sad to be unable to attend the Repossess events this fall, but are so excited to participate in what God does by praying and seeing how Jesus moves! Pray with us that many people come to Christ and that He is glorified!
