1st Redemption Church Baptism Video Recap

We had our first BAPTISM service a few weeks ago, and were so blown away by the beautiful, emotional experience of seeing NINE people get baptized! We had our baptism service at the beach and got to baptize several members of Redemption Church and a few of their family members in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Seeing the fruit of what God is doing in the hearts of the people here in Delray Beach has got to be one of the most exciting and energizing experiences we have had together since starting the church.

Please enjoy this video re-cap of our first baptism service!

In Tenderness (a new worship song)

Just wanted to share a new song we just learned and are playing at Redemption Church Delray Beach. It has been so great serving with the Sinks and I am so glad that Travis is helping lead worship at Redemption Church. I hope you enjoy:)

Highlights from Easter 2013

We are overwhelmed by the incredible day we had last Sunday, and we want to THANK you so much for your prayers and love as we had our second EASTER as Redemption Church!

Highlights from Easter, 2013:

-We had 4 people accept Jesus as their Savior for the very first time!!! One of these was a friend's father who was here visiting from New Jersey. It was a beautiful gift to share this special day with our new brothers and sisters in the Lord!

-We had 18 adults attend our first service and 57 adults attend our second service! Many of these were believers, and many were not. It was incredible to see the Lord bring friends and strangers to hear and celebrate the Good News with us!

-We had approximately 100 people show up for our Easter Egg Hunt between services!!! We were blown away at all the families that responded to our door hangers and invitations and showed up with Easter baskets in hand! Some stayed for our service and many did not, but we were able to share the love of Jesus with many new people in our community. No glitches! It was an awesome time!

-Our team was AWESOME!!! Serving together as a body was a very special and meaningful way to spend Easter together. God's Spirit was with us and the excitement was tangible as we got to see some of the fruit of our labor.

-Redemption Kids was GREAT! We had a combined effort of 10 adults serving in our childrens' ministry and welcomed 20 kids into our kids' classes on Sunday! It was a fun morning for all the kids, and they got to hear the message of God's love for them from wonderful and gifted teachers.

-We had MANY people fill out a card to join a community group! We are VERY excited to see the people the Lord is bringing to Redemption Church to serve and grow together with us!

-FINALLY, God was glorified in our gathering together. We got to worship, fellowship, give Him praise and thanks for all He has done for US!

Praise God for all He is doing and His faithfulness to use us and bring glory to His good name. We love you all and continue to lift you up in our prayers also. Please pray for those who responded to the Gospel this week to be growing and plugged in! We are continuing to reach out to many of those who came on Sunday and are praying for continued relationships and growth.

Be blessed,
Daniel and Laura

1 Year Anniversary!!!

Dear friends,

It is already mid-March, and we are THRILLED to be preparing for our
SECOND Easter in Delray Beach. If you have been following our journey
since we started Redemption Church, you may remember that our first
service was actually on Easter of 2012 which makes this our 1 YEAR
anniversary! It is beautiful and humbling to see the lives that God
has touched in the last year, including the ways he has stretched and
blessed us. God is SO FAITHFUL to His Word and His promises. He has
met us and sustained us and given us faith to follow Him in this
journey.

We are celebrating the incredible year we have had, and we're looking
forward with great expectation at what is still to come! Please be
lifting up our upcoming Easter services as we are inviting many people
in the community and even having an Easter egg hunt between our two
services! We are really hoping this brings many families who we can
bless and invite to stay for church following the egg hunt. We will be
sharing the Good News of Jesus and are praying many lives are changed
and restored.

We want to give all praise and glory to Jesus for His goodness and
faithfulness! Happy Easter!

With love,
The Williams Family

Discipling Women

One incredible answer to my prayers over the last few months has been
seeing the Lord bring together a group of women who want to grow in
their relationships with Jesus. It has been a huge encouragement and
boost to my faith to get to love on these other beautiful ladies and
have them love and challenge and grow with me.

Starting last Fall, I opened up a discipleship group with the girls in
Redemption Church who wanted to have accountability and go deeper in
our walks with the Lord.  I've been teaching through the passage for
the week and then we get to talk and apply it to our lives together
and PRAY for each other. Together, we have studied through and just
finished the book of James together! It has been a challenging study
and a fabulous chance to see God working in our lives as we open up to
one another. God is good!

One really cool thing that we have been able to do as a group is
inviting friends who are new to the idea of Christianity to join us. Our
Thursday group has become not only a discipleship group, but an
opportunity to reach out and share Jesus with other ladies in our
lives who don't yet know Him. It's been so amazing to see one of our
dear friends from Delray coming each week with a desire to learn more
about what the Bible is all about and even bought a notebook to write
down notes about what we talk about! Last week was a huge week for her
as she opened up and prayed with us for the first time. We are all
blessed to be growing together and to get to encourage one another as
we are all learning to take our own steps of faith.

I cannot say enough how much I LOVE THESE WOMEN!!! They keep me
laughing and sane and we have been able to grow together by being open
and real with each other.

So, thought I'd brag on them a little and brag on the goodness of God
to use me and use them for His glory. :)

We LOVE visitors!

We wanted to remind all of you friends out there in various places around the world that we really, really enjoy having you come visit us. Have we mentioned lately how beautiful it is here?? Or that strawberries are in season? :)  Each time we've been blessed to have friends and family come and visit us, we can't wait until the next opportunity to welcome someone into our home again. We have a few friends planning to visit us from Washington state this Spring and are very excited already.

In early January, Daniel's parents were able to come down for the very first time to the East Coast to visit us! It was wonderful getting to see them and take them around to see all of the things we have grown to love about Florida. They were able to attend our second Sunday morning service, and Joe got to teach at our leadership training night. Such a treat to have them here. Jeremiah and May developed a close bond with them after going for about 6 months since we saw them back in Washington. We spent time on the beach, driving around the area, took them to the Everglades and saw the sunset on the Gulf Coast. God is so good. We can't wait until their visit again next year!

Please let us know if you are headed down the Atlantic Coast and would
like to come and see us!

Jeremiah is 6 years old

Here are a few photos from Jeremiah's SIXTH birthday! They tell you
the years go by so fast, and it is incredibly true. We are so proud ofhim and his funny ways. :) This was his first year to have a "friends"birthday party, so we had one with just the family and another with 3friends from school. He chose LEGOS as the theme for the party, and itwas hilarious watching them laugh and yell and be 6 year olds together(plus May, of course, who LOVED playing with the super-coolkindergarteners).

A little blurb about Jeremiah: For those of you who have followed our
blog or know our family, you may remember that Jeremiah has hadtrouble with headaches for the last couple of years. They havedrastically improved in the last year and a half. He is still a"headachy" kid--meaning if he is going to feel sick, he gets aheadache. But they are only about once a month now and a little Motrinhelps! We really believe that God healed his little body when we askedyou all to pray for his chronic headaches. He is a very healthy littleguy. :) He is also quite the quintessential pastor's kid--His casualmention of "God power Jesus power and Holy Spirit power" inconversation is a part of his genetic code, I think. :) He loves totalk about heaven. He loves creating things--drawing is his favoritething to do. And watching movies. And eating sweets. Many of hisdifficult behavior patterns have improved this year since we havedrastically cut his sugar intake. :) He isn't into sports very muchexcept that he will tell you he loves golf because he got to gomini-golfing recently. He is a talker, an arguer, and a thinker. He'sincredibly funny and loyal. We love him so much. So, that's Jeremiah!Oh, and he got his first two-wheeler for his birthday. :)

A much needed update:)

Hi!

Here's to hoping you haven't forgotten about us since it has been a very long time since we updated our blog. We are jumpstarting a new system to keep it updated and current though, so please keep checking back!

Our last couple of months have been full of the miraculous works of God in our lives, our family, and our church. Not only did we get to celebrate Christmas with a 3 and 5 year old (which is the ONLY way to do it, let me tell ya! :), but we also had a sweet month with our core church planting team in the month of December. We took a break from our weekly church services on Thursday nights to prepare to launch SUNDAY services as a church on January 6th! (more on that in a moment) So, that meant our month was busy and full of friends and family in Christ surrounding us in our home and celebrating Christmas together. We had a beautiful and sweet Christmas Eve Eve service with all of our kids there, and we lit the advent candles and got to hear and reflect on the miracle of Jesus's birth. It was wonderful.

Which brings us to January!! After one year living in Delray Beach and 8 months after our first Redemption Church meeting, we had our very first SUNDAY MORNING service! It was such a joy to watch couple after couple and young and old people alike walk into the community center where we meet to worship Jesus with us! We counted about 50 adults that first Sunday and have had new and different people attending each week since then. We have already had several people recommit their lives to Christ and have many people wanting to get involved in the church and joining community groups! It is a miracle to us to see God use us to bring His Word to people and show them His love for them. Our kids are THRILLED to have new kids at church to play with too! Travis and Alesha who moved down in September from Olympia, Washington as well as AJ and Dominique and our "native Floridians" the Snellings--all are a tremendous JOY to serve with, and we have had new people showing up to help out with set up and tear down each week already! God is GOOOOOOD!

Laura has been loving having a discipleship group of women studying the Word together, and she has been teaching through the book of James. Their group has had other Christian and non-Christian women join them, and it is a huge answer to prayer to see the Lord bringing these women together and into her life.

Other than that, life is good. We are happy. Laura still suffers from frequent migraines, so you can lift her up in prayer. Also, I am hoping to rearrange my schedule as the needs of our church grow with Sunday services, and I am feeling stretched. We are hopeful and full of faith for all God has for us here.

Be blessed,
Daniel, Laura, Jeremiah, & Mailey
